Edeen Bhugeloo
Biography
Edeen Bhugeloo was born on 29 September, 1988, in Mauritius, to Rosebee Bhugeloo and Ekramoolah Bhugeloo. He attended the University of Technology of Mauritius where he earned degrees in communication. In 2007 he integrated the troupe Lesgenfoires. He played Pomme le Sage in Arc-En-Ciel (2007) for the National Drama Festival and was awarded with The Most Promising Young Actor award. He then played a royal guard in Les Chapeaux Magique (2008) with Friends in Hope a local NGO, then in Solution dan ou Lame (2008) with the Mauritius Drama Club. He then played Melchior in Bethlehem (2008). In 2011 he started dubbing with Island Dubbing Ltd where he gave his voice to many characters in International TV dramas. In 2011 Edeen met director Jon Rabaud on a pilot TV Series La Fournaise Chamarel. They worked together and Edeen starred in The Short Film, The Encounter (2012) where he played a troubled teenager alongside Guillaume Silavant and Vinaya Sungkur. In 2013 he performed many more roles on stage with sketches from the book Theatre pour Animaux with Vinaya Sungkur (Jean-Michel Ribes). Later he starred in Fish Out of Water (2014) and several short movies in workshops for the Ile Courts Film Festival. Edeen got back on stage with Minuit (2015) where he played a police inspector. Later this year he acted in short movie Eye Opener (2015) In (2016), Edeen acted in the play, Play it again Sam/Une Aspirine pour deux by Francis Perrin. After starring in more couples of short movies, Edeen Bhugeloo tried himself in (2016) a Bollywood feature The Comeback directed by Sharvan Anenden. In late 2017, Edeen makes his Hollywood debut in Steven Knight movie Serenity.
