Carl Lindquist

Biography

Carl Lindquist was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He is an actor and singer-songwriter, known for Gone To Mexico (2017), Justice League (2017) and Paddington 2 (2017), as well as for his extensive experience as a stage actor. From a young age Carl immersed himself in a musical environment provided by his family, listening to the likes of David Bowie and Bryan Ferry, eventually developing to diverse styles such as Dave Grohl and Tommy Körberg. With a very soulful and unique voice, Carl has learned to differentiate himself from other singers on the strength of his vocals alone. Along side his interests for acting and music, Carl has always loved sports. After attending the basketball high-school Sanda in Jönköping, Sweden at age 18 he was signed to 08 Stockholm Human Rights, making his debut in the highest basketball league for men in Sweden. Carl also played for the Swedish Youth National Team for many years, appearing in three European Championships. After a tragic accident a year after he signed with 08, it was revealed that Carl could no longer pursue a career in basketball. Always seeking new challenges, Lindquist moved to London in 2013 to pursue a career in acting and musical theatre. He attended the American Musical Theatre Academy of London, where he graduated a year later with a distinction in acting. Theatre includes: "Peter" in Jesus Christ Superstar (European Tour), "Fred Gaily" in Miracle on 34th Street (UK Tour), "Man" in Here's To Life (National Portrait Gallery), "Ensemble" in Godspell - In Concert (UK Tour/Hackney Empire), "Doctor" in Time Management (White Bear Theatre), "Aldolpho" in The Drowsy Chaperone (Lost Theatre), "Ensemble" in Godspell - In Concert (Lyric Theatre, West End), "Juror 4" in The Twelve Angry Jurors (Pleasance Theatre). He is an accomplished singer with albums released worldwide. He released his first rock/pop solo EP entitled, 'End of Our Road' in May 2012. The EP is available worldwide on Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon and more. Now signed to SESAC, one of the biggest performing rights organizations in the US, which has also signed artists like Adele, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Rush, Mariah Carey, Carl also works as a published songwriter, writing songs both for his own career and for other artists. Carl has just finished filming the highly anticipated short film, 'Gone To Mexico'. He recently made two guest appearances on stage with Ramin Karimloo on his Lead Me Home - UK Tour, and he's now working on his debut solo album.
